RandD > 2009.04.09 (Thu) - Thursdays are for Peyton Of course Thursdays are my day to sneak out and see Peyton and Kayla but today was extra special because Chris was home and I brought Robin! We all hung out, rolled on the floor, bounced balls, ate Pizza, watched Yes Man, and just had a wonderful time. Robin and I took off about 8:15PM to get her home so she could get ready for work. I had a good day at work, we resolved all of our .NET remoting issues. The problems were not related to my security design as I feared yesterday. Turns out it was simply a missing precompile file that didn't get moved over as part of the automated build process. I was just happy that we got it all working. RandD > 2009.04.08 (Wed) - Grill baby, grill! Had a long day at work, lots of problems getting the remoting to work on the new system test servers. I spent most of the morning trying to set the app and web servers up for remote debugging but to no avail. Worked through lunch, eating at my desk and trying to help the guys troubleshoot the issues. Slowly we started to overcome the issues one at a time. Got home and Robin was cooking dinner, I grabbed this shot while she BBQ'd dinner. Posting before dinner so I can spend the rest of my evening with Robin. We miss Brandon, going to go see Jen at her work later and then get caught up on some of our shows. RandD > 2009.04.07 (Tue) - Rain, Rain Had a good day, went in later today, helped configured the System Test environment while we waited on stored procedures. Ate lunch at my desk, we got to sit in on an interview for one of the two dev spots open. Left work late, drove home and got to hang out with Chris, Kayla, and Peyton. Woke Robin up so she could get hugs from Peytee, worked on some work stuff from home until Robin left for work. Posting my daily so I can get to bed. RandD > 2009.04.16 (Mon) - My Little Girl, All Grown Up But still having trouble getting her to let go of her sippy cup. :) Didn't have time for a photo so I grabbed this one from the party on Saturday. Had a good day at work, the day got better when I got home to Robin. We spent the evening hanging out together. It was nice. Hope you all had a nice day, until tomorrow... Darron
RandD > 2009.04.05 (Sun) - Mine Got up early, went to church but didn't care for the message at all. We took B out to breakfast after the service, then dropped him off for his mission trip. He will be gone for a week and demonstrating God's Love, and Grace, by serving those in need. I pray that the Lord will work through him and the others to make a real and lasting difference in the lives of those they are going to serve. After we dropped him off we went by my parents, my father needed my help picking out a new printer. We got back and I helped get it installed. Now they can print as well as scan, copy, and fax! Whoo hoo! Robin and I drove to Folsom for a walk, we wanted to walk across the new "Folsom Lake Bridge", the view was okay, snapped a few photos but I decided to post another photo from yesterday. I don't have many good shots of my Mom, Pop, or Sis so I settled on this photo for my daily. Got home and did our taxes with Turbo Tax and now we are BROKE. I am going to need to adjust my withholding. We usually get a few grand back on feds and owe a grand on state but this year we owe big time on both so I am going to modify my spending habits for a bit. Well, hope you all had a nice weekend, until tomorrow... Darron
RandD > 2009.04.04 (Sat) - Birthday Girl I took off early for my mens Bible study and it was great getting with the guys, praying for loved ones and one another. The study went well, I picked up a lot listening to everything the guys had to say about the weeks reading. After I got home we took off to grab Briana and then off to Kayla and Chris's house for Peyton's Birthday party. We arrived early and I watched Peyton while the girls took off to Party City to get the balloons and such. Peyton and I walked to the park to do the "Rock and Slide" for a bit, then returned back to the house to see her daddy who had been sleeping after getting off late. Chris's Mom and Dad arrived and we began packing things that needed to go to the park for the party. The girls arrived with the balloons and such, we had everthing set up by 1PM and people had already started arriving. We flew kites, played with the giant soccer ball, played on the playground equipment and then began the BBQ. Chris was an excellent cook, we all ate, sang to the B-day girl as she blew out her candle, and then she opened her presents. It was great spending time with family, hanging out, and seeing all the kids have fun. Hope you all had a great day, I'll post the rest of the photos to a separate gallery when I have time... RandD > 2009.04.03 (Fri) - Okay, I might be in trouble... Had a good day at work, came home to a full house. Took everyone out to dinner, then went birthday shopping for Peyton. Big 2 years old tomorrow. Back home now, we've got a full house so I've got to run. When Robin see's the photo I picked for my daily she might be a bit upset but it was the best photo from today, and I think it is a nice butt! :) Hope you all had a nice day, until tomorrow... Darron
RandD > 2009.04.02 (Thu) - First 1/2 decent HDR Work was as it normally is but a bit quite. R was out with pink-eye and M is pretty quiet. Had some technical issues but got them resolved before lunch. Went to lunch with Bobby, we did Sushi, it was great. His turn to pay and it wasn't cheap. I'll have to take us to someplace nice next week. After work I ran home to pick up Brandon and the new Bench that Robin got for Chris, Kayla, and Peyton. Got everything loaded up and headed up to see the girls. Kayla and Peyton were happy to see us, we grabbed huggs and then headed to Marysville for dinner and another goose chasing good time at lake Ellis. While there I grabbed several bracketed shots with the intention to attempt another HDR. R, at work, sent me a link to a photoshop HRD how-to and this is the end result. I could use some practice using the curves tool to tone map my images but I think I did okay. Thanks "R"ob! Hope you all had a great day, until tomorrow, Darron
RandD > 2009.04.01 (Wed) - Quick-N-Easy Had a nice day at work, paired up with Rob for a bit and worked out some validation issues I was having with the datepicker controls we are using on the current UI. We went to lunch together, it was nice getting away from the office for a bit. Got an Email after lunch, from Bonny with Kaiser, they gave me permission to shoot from the parking garage as long as security is available to escort me. (What a coincidence after yesterday's outlaw photo?) Finished the day out by 4:30, got home and did an online "Traffic School" course, then we got to go rescue Corey who was stranded on the freeway. Got him back on the road but missed a very nice sunset photo op. We stopped and grabbed dinner to bring home and I decided to shoot a quick and easy macro shot for today's daily.
