RandD > 2009.09.04 - Forgot my Badge... Ran 5K this morning, got in to work on this furlow Friday but forgot my badge! I messed around with the camera for a while and then ran to Adalbertos for a #24. Got back and Rob had arrived so he was kind enough to let me in so I could start my day. Had a good day, got home hung out with Bri and R, then messed with the Sync in Robin's new car. Well, time to turn in. Until next shot... Darron
RandD > 2009.08.09 (Sun) - Matthew 6:26 Had a nice relaxing Sunday. Robin and I stayed home and spent our day together. We spent the morning trying to shoot the finches feeding outside our front window, I really liked this shot. In the afternoon we went and picked out a car for Brandon, we couldn't transfer funds from his account to ours so he'll have to wait until Monday to get his new wheels. In the evening Bri, Jen, and William came over and we wrapped up our current bible study. Next week, we are going to transition from Will leading, to me! No pressure there! I look forward to it and already have an idea about where I want to go next... Hope you all had a great weekend, until next shot! Darron
RandD > 2009.08.05 (Wed) - Posting an old one from archives, looking forward to a nice day at work and then a planning meeting for the S2S walk that I am going to volunteer for. Hope you all have a great day! God bless, Darron
RandD > 2009.07.28 (Tue) - Work is going well but the best day at work is still worse than the worst day of our vacation! Getting back into a groove but sure do look forward to spending time with my sweetie this weekend. Posting another shot from last Sunday... Until the next shot, Darron
RandD > 2009.07.27 (Mon) - Back to work after two weeks, didn't take a photo today so I am posting another photo from our visit with Shawn yesterday. Until the next shot, Darron
RandD > 2009.07.26 (Sun) - From our visit with Shawn and Rowan! We all piled in the car on our last day of vacation and drove to Antioch to visit with Shawn and Rowan who were visiting from Tennessee. for a family reunion. It was great getting to spend a little time with them and we plan on going to visit them next year. Until next shot... Darron
RandD > 2009.07.19 (Sun) - Little Rohan Robin and I wrapped up our first week of vacation with a trip to Fremont to visit with my good friend Shilpa, her hubby, and their adorable little guy, Rohan! We arrived a bit late but totally within established IST (Indian Strechable Time) standards. We had a great visit, spent time catching up and holding baby Rohan. We all went to lunch together and then returned to their place for some Chai tea and photos before we had to take off. We took a few good photos, we'll post some of them to a separate gallery a bit later. We arrived home too late for Williams B-day party (HAPPY Birthday Will) and hung out with Brandon and watched a movie. (Grand Torino) What a wonderful end to our first week of staycation, until tomorrow... Darron
RandD > 2009.07.11 (Sat) - Wine & Roses (Thank you Monica & Bobby!) Had a good day, started my day at my usual Saturday men's Bible study before returning home to my sweetie. Yesterday I had a friend ask me if we do weddings and I had said no and explained that I don't have any experience shooting weddings. Well, she responded this morning saying that they just couldn't get a photographer at all and that they were going to be using their point-n-shoot cameras for the wedding so I agreed last minute to shoot the wedding. I called Moniica who gave us some great tips, then charged and packed our gear. I borrowed a D90 and lense from Bobby and we took off nervously for Wine and Roses, in Lodi CA. We arrived about 4:15PM ahead of most everyone else. Met up with Becky's sis and began our day. The shoot took 6 hours and was the longest Robin and I had ever done. We shot 2,683 photos. We had a few technical glitches and we definitely need to learn how to pose people better but the candid shots came out great. A few issues with ISO here and there but we ended up with just under 500 pretty good shots to post. We are still processing and sorting and will upload the bunch in a few days. Until tomorrow, Darron
RandD > 2009.07.09 (Thu) - Mels Cars Had another good day, got up early and read a bit, then headed in to work to tackle some more bugs. Bobby called to get my advice about buying a new motorcycle but he already had his mind made up. He made it sound like Herlin was not okay with him owning a bike and I did my best to try and talk him into waiting but.... I wasn't able to change his mind. He got stuck at the dealers so he cancelled our lunch. Luckilly there was a potluck at work and they had leftovers and we were invited to help ourselves so I didn't go hungry and got to continue coding. I worked late again, stopped at Ross on the way home to get a couple shirts. Grabbed a bite to eat at Togos and then ran over to Mels Diner to grab some car shots. Stopped by my parents to visit a bit, they are getting a new HVAC system put in, it was a bit hot. I returned home in time to post a photo and then see Robin off to work. I'm ready to turn in for the night. Hope you all had a good day... Until tomorrow, Darron
