2009.04.14 (Tue) - Cliff side in April
Had a good day at work, got in around the usual time, worked out some issues with some code from the day before. Paired up with Rob for a bit today, then back to debug some of my own code. The three of us went to lunch at Taco Bell, Rob's treat! Had a nice time hanging out with them but eventually had to return to the office. I worked late, first one in and last one out.
The drive home was nice, I was driving north on Sunrise Boulevard and the sky to the west was blue and clear while the sky to the east of Sunrise was cloudy and looked very menacing. As I crossed the American River I noticed the end of a rainbow so I decided to go to the cliff overlooking the river to see if I could get the shot. After almost getting a parking ticket and then hoofing it up the side of the hill to the cliff I arrived to discover that my memory card was back in the car. I ran back to grab it and returned too late to catch the rainbow. There was a young woman sitting next to one of the old oaks playing guitar and working out the lyrics to a song she was writing. I was hoping she would stay there until the sun got low enough to reach her but she left before that happened. I grabbed several shots of the forming clouds and liked this one the best. (After some PP).
Returned home to find two packages had arrived for me, a book on design patterns, and my new bike jersey and shorts. Looks like I'll be riding in tomorrow for the first time in months. Brandon just got home from work and Robin is waking up now so I am going to run.
Hope you all had a great day, until tomorrow...
