Had a really good day, Joe introduced me to his Saturday men's Bible study group and I spent a couple hours with them studying Gensesis 21-24. They begin each study with prayer, going around the room and each man saying a prayer for the man to his left. Being new to the group I felt a little nervous and somewhat intimidated but I got through it okay. The study experience was great and I look forward to becoming a regular member.

After Joe dropped me back off at home we all ran to Denny's for brunch, then came home and watched Peyton for Kayla and Chris so they could do some shopping for Peyton's B-day. (2yrs April 4) We took her over to visit with Mel and Craig and then ran to Toys R Us to get some b-day ideas with her. We picked up a folding chair for her, a little umbrella, and some Duplo blocks for our (g-parents) house and then returned home to work on building an awesome lego house! Peyton destroyed our masterpiece when she decided it was time to clean up, just picked it up and dropped it back into the container and giggled histerically as it crumbled.

Later Kayla and Chris returned to steal her away from us, Jen and Ricky showed up and hung out for a bit before Corey arrived after getting off work. I took off for a bit to try and get my last self portrait for this weeks series. I don't know why I decided to so sp and must say I am glad it is over.

Hope you all had a great day, god bless you all.

Until tomorrow...

RandD > 2009.03.20 (Fri) - Finally Friday [SP, Day 6]

Had a good day, got to work at 6AM sharp and had nothing but trouble most of the morning. Was having some wierd issues with the Telerik Controls, couldn't get the Asynch Postbacks working properly on a new grid I've added. Ate lunch at my desk and continued to power through it until I got it working when my system locked up. I hadn't checked my code in all day so I lost everything. I locked my system and walked out the door at 4PM and didn't look back.

So, the plan this weekend? Don't think about work until Monday morning!

I arrived home to find the house bustling with people, Jen and Ricky were composing a new song. They were playing guitar and singing, B, R, and I watched some TV until they left and then I took the family to Strings for dinner. After that we drove to central Roseville, top of the parking garage on Vernon street and watched the trains. I grabbed this SP shot before we had to take off for home.

I'm going to a Mens bible study in the morning with Joseph H, gotta read a few chapters so I am ready. I'll spend the rest of my evening sitting and reading with Robin.

Until tomorrow,

RandD > 2009.03.19 (Thu) - Poppy n Peytee [SP, Day 5]

Another good day, finally wrapped up all the sofware design specifications this week! Next Monday we should begin officially building the application. Whew! I met Bobby for lunch at Chipotle, it was nice to get the chance to talk. We missed last week so had some catching up to do.

Returned to work and finished my day out before taking off to see Kayla and Peyton, the drive was very nice. It has been pretty warm the last couple of days so I've enjoyed having the top down.

Hung out, ate dinner, giggled, laughed, kicked the soccer ball around, built an awesome lego house with Peyton, grabbed some photos, and then returned home to see my sweetie.

Hope you all had a good day, utnil tomorrow...

RandD > 2009.03.18 (Wed) - Being content [SP, Day 4]

I have so much to be thankful for! My God, my family, my health, my job, my friends. I had a great day at work, but got some horrible news when I got home.

A young man went missing while snowboarding, his body was just found. A friend of mine, Arthur Pillado, got word today that the young man was his son. I worked with Art for about five years and I got to see his son grow into a man. My heart and prayers go out to him now, he will need the Lord's strength to get through this difficult time. I was crushed to hear about what happened, I cannot even begin to imagine how Art is dealing with the news.

Robin and I went out for sushi for dinner, then grabbed my daily photo (SP, Day 4) and returned home to spend the evening together.

God bless you all,

Darron
RandD > 2009.03.17 (Tue) - Drive Time [SP, Day 3]

Had a pretty good day, slept in but didn't work out so I was able to get in to work on time. I've really got to get back to my workouts! Ate lunch at my desk and then took off for Costo over the lunch hour to get a few more copies of The Shack. Got the car washed and then returned to finish my day at work. Got home and grabbed the camera to go take a daily shot. I packed the tripod and grabbed the remote for my self portrait but ended up just using the timer and setting up a shot of myself driving home.

Got back in time to watch Peyton while Chris and Kayla ran to dinner. We work Robin up once, she grabbed some hugs and went back to sleep. Brandon and I had fun watching her until Mom and Dad showed back up. We all hung out until Robin got up and then waved goodbye.

Robin is getting ready for work while I post my photo, she will be taking off for work shortly.

Hope you all had a good day, until tomorrow...

RandD > 2009.03.16 (Mon) [SP, Day 2]

Typical Monday, after work Robin and I ran around with the camera. I tried several self portrait ideas and right now I am completely discouraged with the idea of doing self portraits the rest of the week.

I'm headed to my room with Robin, hope your day went well.

Until tomorrow,

RandD > 2009.03.15 (Sun) - [SP, Day 1]

Had a nice day, we got up early and took off to the west side of Roseville around 5AM. Got some interesting shots before the sun came up, then returned home to get ready for church. We went to the 11:30 service so that Brandon could join us in the Main worship service, it was nice being together the three of us. The message was good. We returned home and cooked lunch and ate together and then the three of us all split up the house and yard work and spent the next few hours getting things in order around our place. It felt good to get it all done, the teamwork really worked well.

After getting the chores done, Robin got online for a while while Brandon played some X-Box. I ran off to the spare bedroom and made my first daily attempt at this week's self portrait series. I went with the natural light coming in the window, not really the best photo so I did what I could in the digital darkroom. Went with a selective color and cropped to hide some features I don't like.

Well, hope you all had a good day. Until tomorrow...

RandD > 2008.10.09 (Thu) - Rode the bike in today, it was a bit cool on the way in. got in about 6:30. I stirred things up a bit at work today, just running out of patience regarding an issue I've been dealing with for a while. I tend to be a fairly patient person but today I decided to make some noise. I hope the issue gets resolved soon but I won't hold my breath. After stirring things up I attended a couple of meetings and the rest of the time I struggled with some PL/SQL code today before giving up and going home. I did have a nice lunch with Bobby, the best part of my work day.

The ride home was grueling with a 15.8 mile per hour head wind for 50 minutes straight, I was beat when I got home. Watched some TV and relaxed a bit until Robin got up. She was getting ready to work and we got a little time together before she had to take off.

I decided to do a SP for today's daily but I really didn't like the way any of them turned out. B&W conversion looked better but still not to thrilled with it so I decided to go for an abstract of myself. I guess I can be a grump sometimes, I wonder if this is how people see me sometimes... I certainly feel this way sometimes!

Until tomorrow,

RandD > 2008.09.16 (Tue) - I woke up early (4AM) and could not go back to sleep so I got up and hopped online to try and get caught up on the dailies. I am constantly amazed at how talented you all are. Thanks all for your comments on my photos too.

Posting another shot from Saturday. This one of my son, he has grown into such a fine young man! I did a lot of processing on this photo. The original photo had many smudges on the glasses, also used some healing brush, then tried several different effects until I arrived at this one.

I've got to get ready for work, I think I'll ride in today.

Have a great day all..
